Great to hear! Looks like I’ll be removing this SEO tweak in the next update. I’ve come across another page builder which does not even store it’s layout in the page content. Or perhaps a setup a blacklist so this filter is not run with incompatible themes. I’ll have to give this some thought.

Which entry specifically?

Please try this… Navigate to the Connections : Manage admin page.
In the top left set all three dropdowns so they show all and click the filter button.

Can you now find the entry?

You put the shortcode within a Fusion Code element block. You should but the shortcode within a Text element block.

The latest update has a tweak for SEO. Part of the code logic is that it search for the shortcode within the page’s content. When placed, using Fusion, as a Code element it can not be found because of the way Fusion obfuscates the code. When placed in a Text element block the shortcode will be found and the page should work correctly.

You would add that to the template card.php file as explained in the developer doc.

Yes, you will have to duplicate the code, once for each field your registered.

No, this is not correct, the category set as the default category will be the category automatically set as the category if no were selected when adding the entry. On a site where this has not been changed (or the category renamed), the default would be “Uncategorized”.

Sounds like you may have updated Connections roughly a month ago…

The cause of this error was a single line of which affected users where the web host is running an older version of PHP on their account.

The tests put in place to intended catch these did not flag this line as incompatible with older versions of PHP.

When this error was originally reported, it was corrected the same day. All versions of Connections 8.16 and newer has had this corrected so it is compatible with the older versions of PHP.

If you are still this error on your site:

Log into your site via FTP or your web hosts file manager and delete the plugin’s folder:

../wp-content/plugins/connections/

Your data is safe when deleting the Connections plugin folder. This is essentially how WordPress itself updates plugins. It deletes the old version files and copies the files for the new version in the plugin’s folder.

Now, install Connections as you normally would. The current version of Connections at the time of this post is 8.19.

Just old code left in purely for backwards compatibility and is not actively used. Basically, a false positive.
