You do not need to create multiple pages and you do not need to use the shortcode. I recommend using a single page directory for the best experience.
- Create a single page with only the
[connections] shortcode.
- Navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page, click the Display tab and scroll to the Categories section.
- Enable the
Display option.
- Enable the
Display Children option.
- Change the
Display Style to Image Grid.
With this configuration only the top level categories will be display as an image grid above the directory.
Upon clicking a category, the page will refresh displaying only the children categories of the parent that was clicked with the directory results filtered by the chosen category.
