Which template are you using? The search is on by default on all the available templates that enable that feature.

I just retested the zip file for cMap it is fine. Where were you downloading it from? The email? Which email client app? Or were you downloading it from your purchase history? If so, which browser? I just emailed you a copy of the template to the email address you used to make the purchase to avoid any further delay. I apologize for the trouble.

All templates, except Market should be perfectly compatible with responsive themes as each of them were tested in TwentyTwelve at various screen sizes. I hope that helps.

AOL Explorer? wasn’t that discontinued way back in 2006 [according to Wikipedia]? Hmmm, maybe you mean AOL Desktop, looks like that might still exist. Neither show up in web market share analytics that I monitor so their usage must be well below 1%. Sorry, but I don’t think I’ll be putting dev effort into making sure it works with AOL Desktop or Explorer… However, if you said it worked before, I’ve changed nothing recently [since Feb 18th] with Form so it is likely an update to another plugin or theme is the cause for the issue. Might I suggest deactivating any plugins you may have added or upgraded before this issue?

Sorry for the delay. The holiday has slowed things down a bit, but I’m catching back up. I’ll address your questions point by point so hopefully I do not miss anything…
I do not recommend showing a real long list as that would make the page slow to load. Being paginated would be best, however, if you choose a template that paginates the list, they all include an option to turn that feature off.
Search is included on many of the premium templates which include cMap, Market and all the *Plus templates. cMap is the most popular, if that helps.
It sounds like Excerpt Plus is close to meeting your requirements, although, you would have to alter the template, card.php file, to have it show the info that you would want shown in the “first stage”. The role, or title, of the individual can be entered in the title field within Connections. The title in Excerpt Plus would be shown right under the name, by default, nothing to edit.
Excerpt Plus is left aligned by default.
So, if I understand correctly, Excerpt Plus seems to come really close to meeting all your requirements. If you’re able to do some very minor PHP editing to the card.php file of that template, you would make the other slight tweaks you would like.
I hope that helps.

It would actually be far quicker to use phpMyAdmin or similar tool to export the Connections tables from one WP install to the other. It is quite quick to do, most of the time spent is logging in and out of the different installs.
Does that help?

I submitted a few test entries the other day and I did not see any errors? Did they show up in you approval queue? If not, can I get a temp admin account so I can take a closer look?

I’ve added Instagram to my feature request list. It’ll happen this summer.
Could you give more detail on you other request? I’m not certain I understand.

Thanks @ Petter. Correct, Connections does not currently support custom fields. However, Connections could still be a great fit for your needs. You could put the model stats in either the bio or notes fields. I’ve seen many other users do just that. You can not upload more than a single image and logo per entry within Connections, but, both the bio and notes fields do support HTML and shortcodes. Other users have used a simple gallery plugin with shows multiple images with a shortcode and then put that shortcode in the bio or notes field.
I hope that helps.

It seems when I rewrote the template I neglected to add support for this feature. Not sure how manage to miss that. It is an easy fix. I’ll post an update tonight. I’ll follow up with you after it is available. Apologies for the inconvenience.
