I’ve actually never tested Link, linking to a family entry … but I’m fairly certain it will not work because Link was designed to only allow creation of individual and organization entry types [an individual representing an organization]. A link will likely be created, but break upon being edited.

Adding the same email address to every family will definitely not work because Link creates a one to one relationship … one user account to one entry in Connections. It doe not create one to many relationships.

I’ve added this to my issue tracker to see if full support can be added, but at this time I can only suggest Link will not be the solution you are looking for at this time. My apologies.

I recently became aware of this issue. I do not yet have a fix for it, but I will have one completed and in place for the forthcoming 0.8 release which is due out soon’ish. Unfortunately the only fix for the time being is not to use the random sort option.

Add this to the theme’s style.css file, at the end. Or alternatively the theme’s custom CSS area if it has one:

#cn-list {
    margin: 0 auto;
    display: table;
}

.cn-list-row-alternate, .cn-list-row {
    display: inline-block;
}

That should do it.

Thanks, that helps. I added this to my issue tracker. It is a CSS box sizing issue that I can correct with the core Connections plugin. I should have it fixed in the pending 0.8 release.

I am also very interested in Josh comes up with … we had some correspondence yesterday day about it.

Pending transactions actually remove themselves after a week, but I did remove your as requested.

If you share a link to your directory page I can take a quick look to determine what CSS would be required to center the entries.

I’m hoping to have available for purchase an extension for Connections being developed by a third party dev that will add reviews and ratings features to Connections.

Whether it is the third party dev extension that adds these features or one I develop, this will be an extension coming to Connections. Just at this point, I can not make any promises as to when.
