1) No, the tiles are fixed width/height, so they tile. The width and height is a user configurable option. How many will fit in a row will depend on the theme’s content width and the width defined for the tile. So it is possible to have 4-5 or more tiles wide on a full page width or just a single tile in a row if viewing on a mobile device in a responsive theme.
2) It does have a single page view, but it will not show any more detail than what is shown on the tile list. However, you can use two template, the tile for the list view and maybe the Bio Entry card for the single view which would show all the detail.
3) Yes and yes. The files within the template would be called card.php and card-single.php.
