It seems this plugin has an issue with WordPress 3.9, the dev said they removed a hook that he was using for integration:

Ok, I see, this “The Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades” plugin doesn’t seem to work… I tried upgrade a few plugins that I have installed, it failed saying the folder already exists, isn’t that the point? When I install plugins that I am not upgrading, as in new plugins, I always get this error, but the plugin does install and does show up on the plugin admin page.
If you are installing it as a plugin, even though that plugin is giving an error, the Activate link still appears as it should. I suspect the Slim Plus is installed, go to Plugins admin page and activate.
Hope that helps!

I had to hunt down that plugin… Are you installing Slim Plus with that plugin? If so, please do not, instead, install it as a plugin, not a theme. Here’s the link to the template installation instructions.

The “Uncategorized” category can not be renamed or deleted as that is the core default category that must exist.
Are you using a translation? If you are, there could be an error in the translation causes the error message.

That is because the version of cMap that your currently running is older than the name linking and does not support it. You’ll have to update the cMap template. This update is available to you and can be downloaded from your purchase history. I hope that helps!

Little secret is that its been a beta feature for about two years now … it’s built into the heart and soul of the Connections so it is not going anywhere soon, soon it should be safe to count on it for the foreseeable future.
If you have a moment, I would truly appreciate a review as they really do make a difference. Many thanks in advance!

It updated fine for me… I guess WordPress failed applying the update before… it happens from time to time, unfortunately.
I also installed and tested the snippet it works as expected. If you wish to enable it just add
initial_results=falseto the shortcode. And, if you have a moment, I would truly appreciate a review as they do make a difference. Many thanks in advance!

Yes, just make the reply as private before submitting.

Well, I can’t see a single reason for having an update issue. If you want, I can do the update. I would need a temp admin account and FTP access.

Ok, those should be fine, but what versions are they?
Also, do you have any other Snippets for Connections active?
