Try going to the Connections : Settings admin page and disabling the keyword search option under the Search settings tab. If you server support FULLTEXT searching, you get better search results.

The connections_list shortcode was deprecated a couples years ago and removed in versions >= 0.8. It is simply connections now. The correct shortcode would be this:

[connections category=4 id='95,103,86,63,72,75' order_by="id|SPECIFIED"]

When you edit an entry, there should be a Screen Options tab in the upper right, click that. My guess is that the Biographical Info field is unchecked, enable it again by clicking the checkbox.

The conflict seems to be with the Formidable plugin. It is overriding the version of Chosen that comes with Connections, the version in Formidable is much older relatively speaking. Formidable will have to be updated so it uses the new version of Chosen for the two plugin to play nice again. Another option if there is not a Formidable update, check its settings to see if it has an option to turn off autocomplete dropdowns.

If there is not Formidable update and there is not a settings option to turn off autocomplete dropdowns, then the only option would be to roll back both Connections and its template to the versions you had installed previously and wait for formidable to update before updating Connections again.

Sounds like you need to add the Connections shortcode to a page to display the directory. See step 4 in the QuickStart.

If you did that, if you copy pasted the shortcode from a webpage, that could cause the shortcode to not work, see this QuickTip on working with shortcodes.
