Sorry, for the delayed reply, I’ve been dealing with bugs relating to the latest release and WP 4.0. I’m prepping the bug fix release so the niggles should all taken care of.

No I have not, but they’re all best of breed plugins. The tough part would be integration. I can not speak for the others, but Connections presently has no integration point with those though I think GravityForms and EventEspresso do have MailChimp integration.

There really should not be any conflict between WordPress CRM and Connections as Connections does not use the WordPress Users table (assuming WordPress CRM does). Connections only adds a meta field to the user to link a user account to a Connections entry (with Link)

If you need some sort of integration of Connections with these, Connections does have many actions and hooks available so you could have a dev create the integration you would require. If you go that route and the dev needs a hook in a specific place, I;d be more than willing to add that hook if it makes sense to.

Which version of Connections do you have installed? Link 2.0.2 requires at least Connections 0.8.14.

I did try to login, after I did, all I get is the server response error code 403 … perhaps my IP address is being blocked. Do you have any security related plugin installed? If you do, you’re going to have to whitelist my IP address.

Good to hear you solved the issue … not sure how an .htaccess file would have ended up there. Another plugin must have added it.

I’m pretty certain the issue was the memory being exhausted … or maybe … I just noticed that you’re using a custom template, it could be whatever changes were made to the template is not 100% compatible with 8.1. Not knowing the changes to the template, it wouldn’t really be possible to know if that is the cause or not. One test you can do, is if you update again, switch to one of the templates that come with Connections, if the template displays fine, then you know the custom template is the cause.

Go to the Connections : Templates admin page, activate the Names template under the All template type. No click the Individual template type link and then activate cMap template. Do the same for the Organization template type.

After you do that, go to the Connections : Settings admin page and enable the the Single Entry Template option under the Display tab.

After you do the above, you will not have the category drop down since the Names template does not have one and the single entry view of cMap does not have one.

Sorry, no, not without editing the template. If you do want to edit the template, the file is card.php and can be found here:
../wp-content/plugins/connections-cmap/

None of the previous solution in this thread apply to the new 8.1 version of Connections. The image processing code was rewritten from the ground up for several reasons. The benefits are all processing now uses core WordPress functions rather than third party scripts, responsive image and HiDPI (Retina) image support.

I am preparing a bugfix release which addresses several different issues a few users are having with images. If you can grant me FTP and admin access, I’ll install this bugfix release to make sure that it also addresses the issue with images on your site.
