The page seems to no longer exist or is not public so I can not see it. My best guess is that you are using the Default Entry Card template which comes free with Connections. If you want the category drop down, you’ll need on of the premium templates.

My first guess is that you have index.php in your Permalink settings. If you do, please remove it. The settings can be found on the WordPress Permalink settings admin page.

Does this still happen if you switch the WordPress Permalink setting to Default? Can you change it so I can take a look?

Well, I guess that can be expected… this is not a Connections bug or issue … if you tried to display >6K WordPress posts or pages on a single page you would have the same issue. What you need is a template which supports pagination. All of the premium templates support pagination, I recommend one of them.

Which way is it broken? When you try to customize the Divi theme or when you try to customize the cMap template? The loading icon just spinning is likely an indication of a fatal javascript error. Load the page in Chrome, hit the F12 key and then click the Console tabs. Are there an errors being listed?

See this FAQ. It explains how to change just about any text you want in Connections. To change Link specific strings like “View My Directory Entry” you would use the connections_link domain instead. Other than that, the instructions are exactly the same.

Yes but this still doesn’t take them to the Directory page itself

I logged in with the subscriber login you gave me and clicking the “View My Directory Entry” link in the widget did take me right to the Ace Night Entry the user is linked to. Seems to be working as expected. Perhaps we are not on the same page???

re: I have entered a phone number in but it is not displaying and I can’t for the life of me work out why.

Did you set the visibility of the phone number to private or unlisted? It is set to public
Did you perhaps turn off the display of the phone number in the cMap Template Customizer? I suspect this is the cause because I can see the phone number when I click to view the single entry detail/profile view.Show the phone numbers is checked under C_map customization
Did you perhaps set the shortcode option to disable the display phone numbers? I have removed all shortcode options to do with phone numbers and it’s still not displaying and in Fieldsets

I’ve also unchecked Dates in both Form and C_map customization but this is still showing when I go to add a listing.

We’ll the only reason I can think of why this would happen when viewing the list but is visible on the entry profile page is that it was disabled in the Template Customizer for cMap … I’ll need a temp admin account in order to take a closer look.

I see you had purchased cMap several years ago, I added the support license key with no annual renewal (grandfathered) so you can update to the latest version which can be downloaded from your purchase history. After you install cMap, make sure you activate your support license code on the Connections : Settings page under the Licenses tab so you’ll receive you free updates.

Apologies for the late reply! I seemed to have overlooked your post.

In regards to the multiple category search, that is custom template developed to meet their specific requirements. It is actually more than just multiple category search.

This site has a multiple category search that was developed for them. It features multiple category search, zipcode radius search and keyword search. If you like this, I can install and configure it for you at a reasonable rate as long take it as it is, meaning the styling. Let me know if you are interested and we can discuss it to make sure that it is a good fit.
