    RE: Spacing issues.

Best guess since I can not see the page is that the theme has some styles that are being applied to the template. Perhaps to either the title or organization classes (required classes for the hCard microfomat standard).

In regards to the image. That’s hard to say from a screenshot. The extra space could be the theme overriding a style or it could be the large image settings. That could happen if you have the “Resize proportionally to fit entire image into the specified dimensions and add margins if required.” crop mode set with portrait px dimensions set. That would make a landscape image look tall. You can read more about the Gridder profile image settings in the docs.

I could provide more specific advise if you can share a link to your directory page.

RE: How do I edit these page formatting?

You can use CSS and add the selectors/styles to the theme’s custom CSS area. Or if you really wish to dig in, you can use Custom CSS Override files and Custom Template Override files.

RE: I’d honestly prefer to have the profile just open out in the (+)-
do I have that option or must the profile open on a separate page?

This is how Gridder is designed. To change it you would have to create a custom override file for the card.php template for Gridder.

On the top of every Profile page, I have two bullets … How do I edit these? Can I move them elsewhere on the page?

These are the entry actions, you can disable or change the order on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab.

They can not be moved. If you wish to change the text, you can use the Say What? plugin here’s the link to the tutorial on how to use Say What? to change strings in Connections (or any other plugin/theme).

Gridder does have a few template specific strings which read about in the docs. You still use Say What? but you would use Gridder’s text domain.

RE: Categories aren’t showing up on the Profile pages.

I had to check the code because I thought it did. It does not. I guess no one has ever requested it for Gridder.

RE: How can someone search by Categories? I want this as an option.
I current have no search bar coming up, just submit new entry.
I want them to be able to search by Name, Keyword or Category, is this possible?

This is disabled by default in Gridder because of its design focus is on displaying small teams. The docs cover how to enable the keyword search, category filter and pagination for Gridder.

Hope this helps, let me know.

On the Connections Settings admin page under the display tab, uncheck the option to display the categories above the directory.

Hope that helps, let me know.

Since you are importing a CSV on a new site, on the mapping step you must select do not import for the Entry ID. The CSV Import is attempting to update entries which do not exist.

Hope that helps, let me know.

RE: for example when you click on this category

    http://www.findtheircard.com/card/en/gibraltar/cat/accountancy-and-finance/

According to the entry count for Accountancy & Finance (1) under “Directory Categories” in the sidebar, there is only one entry so only one entry would be displayed.

I’ve clicked many categories from the sidebar and the number of entries all match the count shown.

Sorry, but I do not understand what the issue is. From what I can see, it is working correctly.

RE: on page: http://www.findtheircard.com/card/en/la-linea-de-la-concepcion-spain/ this does not work.

I’m not exactly show what you are doing on this page…

It looks like you excluded categories on the other page and then attempting to display them on this page? Is that correct? If that is, what is the exact shortcode you are suing to display the directory?

The on issue I see is that the widgets can only link to the page set as the directory home page, no others. If you notice when you click on the “Directory Entries”, “Directory Categories” and do a search, they all resolve to the http://www.findtheircard.com/card/en/gibraltar page. If this categories were excluded your would get no results.

You can break up the directory like this is you wish, but you need one directory page setup so it can display all entries and categories and set that as the directory home page.

    Hope this helps!

I think you are using the wrong widget shortcode. The category widget only displays categories, not entries. I think you want to use the list widget instead. Does that help?

I took a look at the pages… could you let me know what is not displaying that should? Also, when you add new entries, make sure you flush your WP Super Cache other wise you will not see the new entries until the page cache has expired and the new page is created.
