We wrote previously, when WordPress 5.0 was released in December, suggesting to to hold off on upgrading due to concerns over known issues. Since then WordPress has released a few minor updates which addressed the bigger concerns. With the release of WordPress 5.1 is emanate, we can wholeheartedly recommend upgrading. Connections is fully compatible and has been ready to go since December.
We have been hard at work making sure Connections works great with WordPress 5. We’ve added two new block, the Directory block and the Upcoming block, which can easily replace the old shortcodes. In fact, if you are using the new WordPress Block editor, we recommend using these blocks instead of the legacy shortcode. We have more blocks in the works which we are looking forward to releasing.
