ParticipantI think tweaking the label would be a helpful update. Then people like me wouldn’t be so confused… :)
Thanks Steven!!Matthew Crider
ParticipantActually, I was slightly confused. That’s exactly what I was looking for, I just didn’t realize what that was. I assumed that “show image” was for their profile pic. Thanks!!

ParticipantI’ve currently updated to Connections Widgets 2.2 and I still don’t see a date with the names on the birthday widget. Attached is a screenshot of my widget settings.

ParticipantOk, I think I finally figured out a way to make this work even better than before. :)
I didn’t have a good understanding of what the form extension did. I found where to activate the “edit my entry” link on the directory page and all is working well!!
So sorry to be a pain.Last question:
Is there a way to put that “edit my entry” link on my navigation as well?? When I click the link it shows me the url for the specific user. Is there a coded URL that I could use that would fill the user’s name in? Just curious. Thanks so much for all your help!

ParticipantI do have the Form and Link extensions. It looks like this gives me front end entry editing ability but I don’t see how to put that on a page.

ParticipantI sure can, how should I get that to you?
That’s the thing, I’ve deactivated the only redirect I had going. Is there a shortcode with Connections that would allow me to just put their entry editing form on the account page?

Participantthis is what I have set for subscriber in the connections:roles. Am I missing something, they should have the ability to edit their entry right?

ParticipantI had a plugin that did a simple redirect to https://www.wbccc.org/wp-admin/users.php?page=connections_link so it would take users right to their profile page. I also had a plugin that would let me tweak the permissions/capabilities of various user groups.
I’ve deactivated both plugins and I still can’t get to the page=connections_link while logged in as a subscriber (basic site member). I can view that page and update my entry when I’m logged in as an admin. I’m sorry, I’m just at a loss as to why it’s not working now. :/

ParticipantGreetings Steven! Ok, I’ve updated the version and license of all Connections plugins. When I attempt to login to a member’s account it takes me to a basic member info page. I’ve even tried pasting the Link URL: https://www.wbccc.org/wp-admin/users.php?page=connections_link and it takes me right back to the “may account” page at https://www.wbccc.org/my-account. As far as I know I don’t have any re-direct plugins running. However, when I had one running before, it just directed them right to the Link profile update dashboard just fine. I’m kind of at a loss. :)
Thanks for any insight you can give.
