ParticipantIt would also be helpful to have a checkbox to only export preferred information.
Better yet, select between exporting just the preferred info or adding a preferred field or indicator of some kind.
Not sure what would be best to make it easy to mail merge.

ParticipantLooking forward to testing this once the export issues are solved.

ParticipantJust downloaded the update, but since there are multiple visibility fields in each row there is no way to use Excel to filter the data correctly.
I would suggest that you have dropdown boxes next to the Export buttons with the three choices of privacy restrictions and filter them on the export.

ParticipantThat link was an article copied from the OnMergeImages website. It sounds like it would be money well spent.
As for the export, that folder is empty on my site, but photos are visible in Connections. Anywhere else they could be?
Sure would be easier to find something that will use URL’s rather than local files. Will also look into software that makes a remote folder look like it is a local folder to Windows, similar to what DropBox does.

ParticipantThat was my first thought too, but the image stumped me.
With the MS approach, I found one add-in, http://onmerge.com/OnMergeImages.html but it only works with local image files, not URLs. You would have to add a feature to export the images and logos (along with privacy field) and uniquely name them so they would be compatible with how OnMerge works here http://onmerge.com/HelpImages.html
I tried AutoCrat but it is painfully slow and it (or Google) doesn’t support merging or embedding images in Docs. The API may support it but AutoCrat doesn’t.
You can display an image from a URL in Google Sheets with =IMAGE(“URL”,4,50,50) You set the size of the image by replacing 50,50 with desired dimensions.
I’ve done a lot of research and I have not found anything close to what a combination of Connections and and one of these should be able to do. If you developed a template, you could probably sell it along with your other premium items. I’d buy one!

ParticipantThat should do it. Still looking for the right app. Will share when I find it.

ParticipantAwesome. Any estimate when you will be able to get to the rest of the fields that support the private and unlisted property? Does this update include the individual as well (e.g. someone that wants their entire record unlisted)?
Dirk Leeward
ParticipantI don’t see any screenshots of the output.

ParticipantIs there any way that you can create a printed directory with the above fields?
Dirk Leeward
ParticipantI’m using connections for a client now and have another client that wants to use it it can replace their database they use now for a printed directory. It is generally set up as follows:
Family name
home address
city state zip
home phone
home fax
Alternate Address
city state zip
family email address
1st Family member name
Email address
Cell Phone
2nd Family member name
Email address
Office Phone
Cell Phone
It is currently printed on a half letter size page in two columns. They also want to add family and individual photos which they don’t have now.
