04/25/2018 at 11:18 pm in reply to: Issues ever since upgrade to 8.16 zero response from Connections-Pro in 26 Days! #460217

ParticipantHey Steve,
First thank you for getting back to me and addressing the prior ticket. Not sure how you didn’t see it as multiple people had commented on it, but things happen. I addressed the mixed content issue and it restored the Connections Directory on the site and not sure how but the custom layout we created is working again.Craig Grant
ParticipantThis ticket is now 26 days old and zero response from anyone at Connections-pro even though they replied to a similar ticket back on 4/6. And when I posted to this ticket on 4/6 that the suggested fix screwed up all the custom css layout work we had done, again zero response. Well today the Connections Pro directory completely stopped working on one of my sites http://www.rairc.com. I am obviously pretty unhappy about this situation as I am sure many other Connections-Pro customers are. If I don’t hear back from someone today, I will be forced to look for an alternative plugin solution and leave a review of my experience as this seems to be a vendor that flat out doesn’t care about their clients.

ParticipantI found the following response from Stave Zahn on a related ticket that seems to have a fix for the parse error crash problem, but the problem is all of the custom template work we did on the site such as on this page http://rairc.com/about-2/leadership/ are no longer working and the member search capability is now not working. So pretty unhappy about how this upgrade has basically messed up the site. Can someone on the connections team please get with me regarding this. Thank you.

@ ColinPlease log into your site via FTP and delete the plugin’s folder:
../wp-content/plugins/connections/
Your data is safe.
Now, install Connections as you normally would install a plugin.
Apologies for the trouble!

ParticipantThis ticket is now a week old and from what I can see zero response from Connections. Does anyone have an update as I have had to disable this plugin on multiple sites due to this error and I am pretty unhappy about this as I am sure a lot of you are in this thread.

ParticipantI had the same issue where the update to the Connections plugin caused the site to crash 500 http error message and produced the following error message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘::’ (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM) in /home/rairc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/class.constants.php on line 23
Please provide fix asap as it is obviously affecting a lot of your paying customers going on 3-days now. Thank you.
