Template Update: Tile Plus 2.1

NOTE: To download the update you will need the order confirmation email which contained the download link and code. If you no longer have this email, please submit a help desk ticket with the email address you used to purchase the template. Or if you have purchased the template in September 2012 or later, you can log in to your account page and download the update from your purchase history.
Template: Tile Plus

Tile Plus has received a few updates.

Here’s the changelog:

  • OTHER: Added CSS to line wrap long email addresses.
  • OTHER: Update to use the new template parts in the Connections core.
  • OTHER: Cleanup CSS.
  • OTHER: Update the “Visit Website” link code to use the target/follow/title settings as set when editing the entry’s links.

      The answer would depend on when you made the purchase. The info is actually in the big blue box at the top of the page. I hope that helps.

        Hi Steven,

        I had given up on this until now. I purchased this on 10-12-2012. I have read the blue box and login to my account, but am still not seeing anything new, or how to do the update. All I see are the what appears to be the original module zip files and csv license key.

          Just download the zip file for Tile Plus, that will always be the current release. After you have downloaded it, install it right over top of the current version on your site.

    I would like the website to appear as it does in the sample “Visit website”. My template shows the website url and it is too long.
    Can you tell me how to change it?

    Also is it possible to have the search category box in a sidebar?

      First, with Tile Plus 2.1 the “Title” option when adding a link. his allows you to use a custom title per entry. There is a shortcode option that is enabled in Tile Plus 2.1 that allows you to override this. Here’s an example shortcode using that option:

      [connections str_visit_website="Visit Website"]

        I read in the wordpress forum that you were working on a template called Connections qT where the code could be displayed in tables. Is that still in the works?
        Last question, is the vcard download available and if so, how is that setup?

          Connections qT ins’t really a template, but a system for Connections where one could define a simple template by using tags (sort of like shortcodes, but for Connections only) in the post editor. It is still in the works, but has been back burner-ed while I focus on some of the more highly requested items.

          To add the vcard download link to Tile, you would have to edit the template.php file. If you feel you can do that, here’s the function:

          #entry->vacrd();

    Just had out developer install connections.  I really like the basic card and cmap templates, but want to customize it a bit, is this possible with shortcode?  Also on all my templates there is no label for phone number?  Is this a bug and can it be fixed?

      Yes cMap enables over 60 shortcode options that can be set to customize it.

      I’m not certain what you mean by no label for the phone number. Do you have a link so that I can see what your asking?

      With that said…

      I did take a look, something seems to be stripping or removing the query variables Connections requires to function. This will break a lot of plugins, not just Connections.

      The first thing you need to try is deactivating all other plugins. If the issue resolves itself, then you know one of the plugins is breaking basic WordPress functionality.

      If the issue persists, then it is likely the theme. Temporarily switch to one of the default themes like TwentyTwelve. If that fixes the issue, then it is the theme breaking WordPress.

      Please post a new topic in the support forum letting me know what you find out.
