Slim has received a significant update to take full advantage of all the newer features built into Connections which include:
- Responsive theme compatible.
- Over 40 shortcode options that can be used to customize the template to your needs.
- Easier installation. You now install Slim like you would any other plugin. If you are upgrading from an older version, make sure to delete it first.
- And lastly, the number one feature request, an easy way to change the color. Here’s a few examples:
Slim in its default blue:

Pretty nifty, right? You can use any valid CSS color to match the color scheme of your theme.
Here are a couple sample shortcodes to show you how:

Important
If you are upgrading from an older version of Slim you must go to the Connections : Templates admin page and delete the older version before installing the new version.
To install the new version, please install it as you would any plugin, please do not use the template installer found on the Connections : Templates admin page. The template installer will only remain in place until all templates have been updated to use the new templating system. After which it will be removed completely.
After you install Slim, as a plugin, activate it as a plugin.
Finally, after Slim has been activated, it will show up on the Connections : Templates admin page and be available for use.
