ParticipantFor the benefit of anyone else reading this thread: the problem was traced to some PHP functions I have disabled on our server for security purposes. I made some changes, and all is well. Nothing at all “wrong” with Connections.

ParticipantLet me do a little more digging before you take time out of your day. It’s clearly something goofed on our side. I think it can probably be traced to the fact than the development server had a slightly different path (c:\www\geoalliance_wp) compared to the live server. Stand by, I may very well take you up on your offer!

ParticipantI’m using “Email Encoder Bundle.” There were many options, but this one had positive reviews and a lot of installs, so I figured it was a safe choice. I don’t know that it’s any better than other choices to be honest.

ParticipantThanks Steve. With our all your recent help, our directory is finally LIVE!

ParticipantSorry, it appears there is one more nagging issue. When I remove lat/lon from the address options (via css display:none) everything looks great (see no-geo.png).
But when I take out country, the formatting goes to heck. (no-geo_no_country.png) I’ve poked around in the CSS, but I have to admit I’m stumped.
Are you able to re-create this issue on one of your own installs? If not I’ll have to assume my template is the cause.
The site is in development on a firewalled server, otherwise I would share the link…

ParticipantThanks! That worked perfectly. Exactly what I needed.

ParticipantThanks for your quick reply. That definitely simplifies things.
However, in the database, the address and phone data land in the first field available, which in my case is “home” and “home phone,” respectively. (I’m intending to collect work phone and work address.) The admin can easily edit the type on the backend, but I know people will almost always forget to do so when approving records.
Is there a different approach that perhaps just limits what appears on the dropdown list, vs eliminating the options entirely?

ParticipantGreat, thanks very much. If you are willing to do the “exchange” I would very much appreciate it. Let me know what I need to do.
