ParticipantI’m glad to hear it’s still supported. I double checked the situation and see that it’s a little different than I described. I have used the Connections Form upgrade to allow people to create their own entries in the directory. From what I can tell, the form only allows people to choose from Individual or Organization. The Family entry type is not supported by the form. However, I had seen Family as an option when editing my own directory entry when logged in as the site admin. So, I thought that maybe if someone created a directory entry using the Form choosing Individual, they could then edit that entry (what I referred to as the backend in the previous entry) and change the entry type to Family. However, when I created a new test account and tried to do this, I didn’t have the option to select Family either in the Form or later when editing the entry. Individual and Organization are still the only options.
What I just discovered while I was double checking things is that when I’m logged in as the admin for the website, I can edit an entry and then there is an option for a Family listing. So, it seems that having the option to select Family is only there for the admin of the site and not the subscriber level WordPress accounts. Is that correct?
What I’m trying to do is allow the individual member families to create and maintain their own directory entries with as little admin work needing to be done as possible. We have several hundred members and even if the admin only has to spend a few minutes on each entry, when doing it for hundreds of entries it could quickly become weeks of work. I’m trying to avoid that.
Is there a way for me to set this up so the member families will be able create and maintain their own Family listings without the admin needing to do anything?
Thanks.

ParticipantI found a workable solution.
One other quick question. Does Connections have a registration form or do I just use the WordPress registration?
Thanks.

ParticipantThanks Steven, especially for responding so quickly. I’ll try to find a way to work the login form into the page’s design.
