    Hi there

I have since created a cmap-custom.css file and uploaded it to the relevant folder to avoid issues with updates. Thanks for those tips on your site. I have also been able to make several changes to it.

I am really battling to change the background of each listing. I have managed to remove the gradient by deleting all the code for that but I doubt that is the correct way to do it. I am trying to change the background colour. Currently it is grey #D3D3D3. I want it to be plain black with no gradient.

Here is a screen shot of how i would like it to look attached. Are you able to assist me in reaching this goal?

I hope i am not asking too much here.

    Thanks so much
    Cara-Dee

    Hi Stephen

Thanks so much for the above. That worked great.

I am wanting to create 2 new fields now like so…
    Genre: Jazz
    Category: Brass

Do I use custom fields for this? I searched for info on that and came across a video which confused me greatly. Do you have a link to any simple explanations on how to create custom fields?

    Many thanks

    Hi Stephen,

This is fab! THank you so much for your help again.

I am using the cmap template. I would really appreciate the code snippet and perhaps some direction as to where it needs to be changed.

    Many thanks!!

    Another question regarding the above…

If I use the address area instead of using it as a category as you mentioned, will I be able to insert a shortcode that allows users to search in the drop down search menu by area?

This was the initial reason for creating the address as a category so that users could search by it in the dropdown. There will essentially only be 7 provinces (states) to choose from.

    Thank you
    Cara

THanks so much for your time. These suggestions have helped me.

    My website is: http://eventmusic.co.za/directory/

I am not able to view the search drop down on my site. I have compared the settings on my other site where it is working fine and all settings seem the same.

    My shortcode is as follows:
    [connections category='2' show_empty_categories=’false’ show_alphaindex='false' repeat_alphaindex='false' width='630' enable_search=’false’ enable_category_select=’true’]

Even when I place the [connections] shortcode on its own it still doesn’t show up.

I have updated the plugin to the latest version.

Please can you tell me why this could be happening?

    Thanks for your time!!

This wasnt resolved – I just removed the alphabet => show_alphaindex=’false’

That is what seems to be the issue because now it is gone.
