As promised the response from Yoast. They seem to be saying there isn’t a problem or if there was we needed to refresh the sitemap by disabling and then enabling it again, which should have forced the permalink structures through. What do you think? The following is in response to your previous response to me. I copied to them.

    ** YOAST SUPPORT RESPONSE **
The Connections developer responded there might be 2 possible bugs. We will address them accordingly:
    1. By removing the trailing slash on any of the default options by using the Custom Structure, the 62 URLs would be in the sitemap. Removing the trailing slash at the end shouldn’t make any difference for the sitemap structure or the sitemap generated. See point 2 for more information.
    2. The sitemap did not seem to respect the selected permalink structure. Our plugin should pick up the Custom Structure and update the sitemap accordingly as soon as the permalink structure is saved. If it does not, you can try to force the sitemap to update by disabling the sitemap and re-enabling it afterward via “SEO -> XML Sitemaps”. If the issue still persists, please run a conflict check.

Thanks for this. Checked it on staging and it’s working as you said. I’ve reached out to Yoast and I’ll keep you updated with their responses. Thanks, Steve.

Thanks for the quick response. I’ve carried out some further testing as you suggested and the homepage continues to disappear from the sitemap when Connections is activated. I deactivated all plugins except for: Connections; cMap template; Yoast SEO Premium; and WordPress MU Domain Mapping. I’m running a multisite setup and I tried with both Connections network activated and locally activated. I also made sure that that the directory page was not pointing to the homepage. Any thoughts? Thanks, Steve.

    Hi Steve,

No worries I found the setting in Connections > Settings > Advanced tab…I’d completely forgotten that setting existed.

    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

License is not an issue now.

I’ve still got the broken page display on the new website.

    I’ve done the following:

    • Network deactivated Connections plugin.
    • Activated Connections/cMap locally on both websites; no change to broken page.
    • Recopied ‘connections-templates’ directory to ensure child themes are identical.
    • Tested pages without custom css to ensure that’s not the reason.
    • Checked plugins, biggest difference is WooCommerce on the directory page that is not working on Counselling Websites.

EMAIL SENT TO YOUR CONTACT EMAIL:

I’ve sent you admin login details a WooCommerce system report: might give you a clue of some sort.

    PAGE LINKS:

    WORKING Connections Page: Counselling Blog

    BROKEN Connections Page: Counselling Websites

    MY AIMS:

I want to have one data source and be able to pull back subsets of that data source on different sub domains within the multisite installation; I’ve got define( ‘CN_MULTISITE_ENABLED’, false ); in my wp-config. So far testing it works fine in terms of pulling back the data.

    Regards
    Steve

    Steve,

How can I manually check the versions of templates and extensions? Is there a single page? I see that some are announced on the Blog…but I can only see Cmap 3 announcement when we are up to version 4.

    Steve.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for this. I’ll see how it goes. If it becomes a pain I’ll shift to a license key. Could there be any other Cmap shortcode options that I’m not using? I copied them all from the shortcode page and went through them one by one.

    Steve
