A small percentage of users have been receiving this error. This error is caused because the host server is not configured correctly to use php sessions. I find this odd because in my fairly limited experience many web based applications absolutely require the php sessions. Since WordPress does not use php sessions I decided to rework the plug-in to remove it’s use. So if you are one of the few receiving this error, please download and install this version. Do keep in mind this version is under development an may contain bugs.

If you do not want to use a development version see this FAQ for some possible solutions to fix this error.

Is this a newer version than what is on the wp site?
I have connections installed and it seems to be running fine, but if I should upgrade, I will.
also:
I sent a contact form for a custom template last week but never heard back. I sent another one today just in case it got lost.
Is there a better way to request custom templates?
btw loving the plugin.. it’s fantastic!
I just installed this plugin and got this error as well. php.ini does have a sessions path defined on my server. You may also need to create an .htacess file to allow it or a vhost.conf. But more importantly – I don’t think it is necessary. WordPress doesn’t require the $_SESSION scope – so if you’re not using it in this plugin for any reason, I would just remove it.
Great plugin!
@elaine
I have, the version linked above does have the use of $_SESSION completely removed [I was using it]. I have not released it as an upgrade yet because it is still under development but should be more that stable enough to use.
@shawn
Yes, this is a newer version. At this point the only real difference is the use of $_SESSION has been removed.
I have been using the plugin with great success. Over 10 different Categories. Some entries parts of many categories. Working wonderfully. Looking forward to the pro version being released with csv export, etc. Hope all is going well. Thank you!
Please email me when you get a chance.
I love your work so much that I am asking that you please design a custom template for me. Thanks.
