Please disable the submit new entry action link and make sure you have the add/edit my entry action link enabled on the Connections : Setting admin page under the Display tab. Make sure you have Link installed and activated. Lastly, make sure the user role has either the add/edit capabilities or the add moderated/edit moderated capabilities.
