This seems to indicates a PHP failure. To start resolving this do:

• How do I increase the PHP Execution Limit?
• How do I increase the WordPress Memory Limit?

If neither of those work, try:

• How to Set Up WordPress Error Logs in WP-Config

Visit the edit entry admin page and then review the log. Let me know if there are any reported errors and what they are.
