Please try the solutions provided in these tutorials:

• How do I increase the PHP Execution Limit?
• How do I increase the WordPress Memory Limit?

Also, login into your web host control panel. Many hosts allow you to chose the PHP version to run. WordPress recommended PHP version 7.1 as it runs WP much faster while being far more resource efficient. If this option is not available in the web host control panel contact their support team. This is something they usually can easily change.
