@ Dan
Ok, I was able to duplicate and determine the issues. Two items I do not think I considered… duplicate column names in the CSV file mapping to duplicate data types. Eg., multiple columns named phone, mapped to the “Home Phone” type. Each in themselves presents an issue and combined make it worse.
The easy quick fix… make sure each column header name is unique and map each column to a unique field type. Eg., “phone, phone 1, phone 3” mapped to “Home Phone”, “Work Phone” and “Cell Phone”. OR Navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page, click the Field Configuration tab and scroll to the Phone Types section. Here you can add additional “home” phone types, such as “Home Phone 1”. You will then be able to map to it when importing. While this will work for the phone numbers, it will not work for the email as I have not yet added the email field types options yet. This will be added in the next Connections update.
I don’t think I’ve ever considered that one would import multiple home phones and such to a single entry.
If your timeline permits, I can work out this issue and update the CSV Import to work correctly in this scenario and then import the file for you. Let me know.
