It appears you may have disabled the Google Maps API on the Connections : Settings admin page on the Advanced tab at the bottom in the Compatibility section. Please re-enable that option. After you do, please let me know and then I’ll look at the page again.

This is Google’s process. I do not have any control over their process. The API key is their new’ish requirement to use Google Maps. Sites using the Google Maps API prior to their new requirement were grandfathered, not requiring an API Key. That will change.
