“Everywhere“… Actually not everywhere, each addon for Connections is its own plugin which requires its own translation files. Unfortunately this is how it works. This is not limited to Connections. Take for example WooCommerce, a very, very, popular plugin with many, many addons. Each addon requires it own translation.

Any way back to your issue…

The file naming looks correct so the translation should work just fine. Could you attach your PO file file so I can take a look? To attach the you will have to rename .po to .txt.
