Hi for anyone interested I found a plugin that works with wpml and shows translated content based on a shortcode and the page language.

It can be used anywhere a shortcode can be used (notes and bio only I believe). in other fields ie name it treats the shortcode as text.

[wpml_language language=”en”]your content[/wpml_language] (eg: language=”en” is for english )

this might help people who do not want to duplicate all their contacts.
