Yes, you can insert an image into the bio and notes fields. You need to use the img HTML tag.

The image and logo that can be added to the entry are only displayed in templates which support displaying them. For example, all the free core templates support displaying the image, but no the logo whereas templates such as cMap and Market support showing the logo (by default, can be configured).
