ParticipantHi Steven,
Thanks for trying! I have had to disable both the category drop-down, the search bar and can’t use the enhanced category grid due to a bunch things related to how I need the directory system to work.
I have instead created a separate way to deal with the categories & locations (also categories but in a separate menu). I have made significant style changes as well…
So, I don’t think the next update will negatively affect me at all. Thanks for your help!

and here’s an example how we’ll be featuring businesses in our guide/magazine sections:
https://columbiavalley.com/arts-culture/
We only include those businesses that have paid in these sections, then link off to the directory for others who have been ranked based on subscription level. Seems to work so far…

ParticipantSo, the other problem I mentioned where you said it was a bug… Here’s an example –
/directory/cat/food-drink/liquor-stores/?cn-s=yoga
Being inside the liquor-stores category and searching for ‘yoga’ should bring me the results for –
/directory/?cn-s=yoga
Is this the bug or is there maybe a way to add a snippet to make that change? This will cause major problems if people see ‘no results’ unless they are on the main directory page.

ParticipantOr at least order by Organization first then Individual?

ParticipantIt appeared at the bottom of the list of results… I assume that the results of a search are alphabetical. Is it possible to have results sorted by a custom rank? Like I do for the main directory itself?

ParticipantSilly me. I didn’t activate it at that point… So I activated it.
No, I hadn’t added any descriptions for categories. So, I just added the word yoga as the description for that category, cleared cache and they’re not showing up.
That ‘Yoga & Meditation’ sub-cat has a parent category, so I also added the word ‘yoga’ to that description, same result.

ParticipantI have added the code snippet and activated for front-end only as per the attached screenshot. I have cleared cache and they are still not showing up in the results for ‘yoga’.
