Thanks for getting back to me so fast! The problem was at the Templates admin page.
I had activated the template under “all” and assumed that it would contain all roles (person, organisation, family etc.) But when I looked again specifically, I realized that I had to activate it individually under “Person”, “Organisation” etc.
Now everything works :-)
