OK … Finally did it.
I had to manually load the plugin into the WP directory thru FTP and then installed it.
Just an update…
I have tried resetting WordPress and then activating Connections followed by uploading the Widget extension. I still get the page not found error.
I have also tried deactivating all the other plugins, (Except for the Connections plugins), to no effect.
