OK, Im not sure what happened but the issue seems to have been resolved.
Really appreciate your time Steven, I think it may have been a loading issue on the site, server or browser.
Im using [connections enable_category_multi_select='TRUE']
When Im logged into wordpress it multiple category select works
But when not logged in the option to multiple select doesnt work
