ParticipantAnother question regarding the search. Is there a way to force the user to enter something in the search field? For instance, if I just press the search button, I get all the results. I want to force the user to at least enter something, so they won’t get a full listing.

ParticipantThanks Steven, that worked great!

ParticipantThanks for the suggestion. I do code in the text mode, and not the visual. Here is the code exactly as I have on the page: (just to make sure, I’ve copied the code into a text editor, and re-typed the single quotes.)
[connections show_empty_categories='false' image='logo' image_fallback='none' initial_results='false' show_alphaindex='true' repeat_alphaindex='false' force_home='true' exclude_category='1']
I’m still getting the uncategorized in the drop down list.

ParticipantI have added this code to my site and the results are not showing on page load until the search, as expected.
However “uncategorized” is showing in the drop down list of possible search selections. I do have show_empty_categories=’false’ and exclude_category=’1′ in the shortcodes. I’m still testing and only have 2 listings in the tool, both are set to category 2. And when the results show, uncategorized is not in the list on the left side.
How can I get rid of uncategorized in the drop down? (Market is my default template)
