Mine show up on google but i do wonder if my google result information could be better.

So when I search for a business name that is listed in my connections, it will turn up somewhere (page 1 or 2 or 3 or whatever). great.

The results though are different. The link shows one result giving logo info twice and ‘return to the top’ , it also pulls a bit from the page description.

Any suggestions as to how to improve this?

I’ve just had the same error messages and have changed the following:

set WP_DEBUG to false in your wp-config.php

Haven’t tested it yet but will soon.

Love the new changes for the widget you’re doing. I wonder how multiple widgets would work for region specific.I guess I wouldnt really know until I could see it visually, however it doesnt sound like a solution??

I would love to able to use one of the widgets eventually – categories or newly added. It would certainly be a missing feature for my site if I couldn’t use one. I’ve just changed wordpress templates and havent implemented any of the new features available but i’m tinkering with everything at the moment and also trying to make connections pro the best it can be on my site and region specific is important, particularly if I expand to overseas businesses.

    Thanks Steven.

The links in the widgets should link to the page set as the Directory
Home Page on the Connections : Settings admin page under the General
    tab.

I have coffee roasters page as the home page and tried ‘results’ as you suggested, It takes me here
http://cuptaste.com/results/name/piccolo-coffee-roasters/ which is as intended I guess. My setup is that I dont use any of the individual posts (or pages or whatever they are called) but is grouped according to region but as you say linking to these cant be done.

I also tired the the widget ‘connection categories’ but i’ve bummed out on that one because I cant (dont want to) change the URL because of social media shares. I get taken to this page http://cuptaste.com/results/cat/au/sa/ which is the right result, but wrong URL – this page would be better for me :)

I might look around for a redirect widget (not sure if that would work or be viable) because I would really like to use use some of the connections widgets, they are great.

    Thanks for your assistance.

I think my first post may just sound confusing. Sorry.

I just want the places that appear in the ‘recently added’ widget to go to the state (region?) that it has been categorised under. Is that possible?

Thankyou for your reply, appreciate that.

So I have ticked the Name link Single Entry option under the Advanced tab on the Connections : Settings admin page. as per your suggestion.

I’ve googled quite a few of my listings just to see which page they actually turn up on. Its all over the place, with results on page 1,2,3,4… right threw to not even being listed (Barossa Coffee Roasters). Many are within the first few pages, overall I reckon its as expected.

One thing I did notice which I need fixing is the caption (or whatever its called) beneath the result on google. Below I searched ‘bootleg coffee roasters’. It mentions the logo for 2 business’s and this part ‘On this page you’ll find South Australian coffee roasters‘ which is just the little blurb at the top of the roasters page. It seems to show this for all results on google.
South Australian Coffee Roasters | cuptaste.com
    cuptaste.com/coffee-roasters/south-australian-coffee-roasters/‎
May 5, 2013 – On this page you’ll find South Australian coffee roasters (with … Logo for Barosaa Coffee Roasters … Logo for Bootleg Coffee Roasters …

How do I change this so that it shows the address, etc, as per entry. Or will that happen in due time now that i’ve ticked the Single Entry option as mentioned above? and will the below error (gotten from your link to webmaster tools) be solved as well?

Error: This information will not appear as a rich snippet in search results, because it seems to describe an organization. Google does not currently display organization information in rich snippets

    Hope I made sense.

PS – it would be good to get a preview button for when writing posts :)
