Well, not likely lost. Just not in the path Connections is expecting them. It difficult to know for sure exactly where they are but they will be in a folder named /connection_images/ likely in the content folder of one of you subsites. You need to move the contents of this folder to the path shown on the System widget on the Connections : Dashboard admin page. The path will be the value of the CN_IMAGE_PATH constant.
