Log into your site with FTP. Go to this folder:
../wp-content/connection_images

Delete this file:
.htaccess

Connections adds that file so it is safe to delete. That file doesn’t block images from being displayed, but it seems that it does on a very small number of server setups. The next release of Connections will no longer add this file.

Any way, that should fix you up.
