  • How many entries are you exporting? That should not matter, I’ve tested tens of thousands.
  • Can you attach an export a CSV file?
  • Does the export page progress bar iterate thru batches? For example, 10%, 20% … 100%.

I supposed it is possible the web host has file system permission configured in a way a file can be created but not updated. Does WP ask you for FTP user/pass when changing permalink structures from Plain to one of the named options?
