The businesses have been added as “Individuals”. You need to add the businesses as “Organizations”

• Add a new entry, choose the “Organization” entry type in the Publish box.
• Add the business name to the Organization name field.
• Add the contact name to the Contact First and Last name fields.

This does mean you’ll have to fix all of the entries.

A hacky workaround that might be usable, you could try changing the default sort order like this:

[connections order_by='organization']
