Make sure you have checked the “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” before you submit. If it checked, try looking in your spam/junk folder, perhaps they’re getting flagged.

As for the FTP account… You need to contact your web host for support. You can create new accounts with your host. What will make it temporary is that you can delete that account after I am done.
