OK, well this went bad….
I deactivated the plugin, which returned an error saying “deactivation failed, too much time without a response” or along that line.
Upon refresh however, it shows the plugin as deactivated. I then selected “delete plugin” which also took a long time, and eventually returned an error saying it “could not completely uninstall plugin”.
Reload page again to see if it is actually gone, and it is, in fact gone from the list. On now to installing plugin again, and it took forever… and then a page appears saying the “website is unable to process this request at this time”. And stayed that way for over 30 minutes. Dead site, error 500.
I have since restored yesterday’s backup, but I am not feeling very confident about going through this again for the same result.
