Yes, that will work just fine. After you do, make sure to activate your licenses for each item. After you do, you will be able to update in the admin like the free plugins from wp.org.

RE: I used the Say What? plugin originally (which you recommended) to change a lot of the elements in Form. Will this be affected by the upgrades?

I think these will be lost … sort of. If you do lose any. They will still exist in Say What? If you find one or more do not work any more. Edit it in Say What change the text domain from connections_form to connections or vice versa.
