I activated Yoast 3.0.7 on my test site and I can edit pages with the Connections shortcode on it without any errors. Perhaps there is a specific configuration setting in Yoast that triggers it? I just let the defaults. I looked at the config and nothing jump out at me as being an issue. Could you share screenshots showing the Yoast settings so I can duplicate them?
