I’m not sure, Steven. The original 27 folder was still there intact– except for the connections-images folder– THAT was inside sites/28/27. So something copied the original uploads folder. Not anything that I would have been doing manually. The only thing I had to do to “fix” the disappearing images was move connections-images from sites/28/27/ to sites/27/.

Maybe don’t worry about it unless you see it in another multisite install?
