Timothy CaseyThanks, I may give that export a try after a bit. As I mentioned earlier, the manual linking is OK if that’s the best that can be done. It only takes a couple of seconds to link but it took me a few hours to create all new Families and then link them to the individuals.
Regarding a LINKED Family import, my thinking is that the user would supply a link field ID of their own that would match a link field on the Individual record. The work flow would then be to FIRST, import families with the link field included, SECOND import Individuals with the link field supplied. The procedure would then do a look up on the Family link field and then import the Individual with the corresponding Entry ID of the Family. If the Individual link field doesn’t match and existing Family Link field, The Individual is imported as Unlinked. You could supply some user feedback in the results such as “125 Individual Records Linked to Families, 3 Individual Records unmatched to Families” (perhaps show a list of the unlinked Individuals.)
