We work hard to avoid breaking existing features when adding new features, but now and then, something has to break to move the entire Connections platform forward.
The next Connections update will remove a legacy [connections render=false] shortcode option. The option being removed is wp_current_category. Official support for this option was removed many years ago, and the time is now to remove the code that supported the feature.
Being that this was a very special use case shortcode option the removal of this shortcode option is not expected to negatively affect anyone’s days to day usage of Connections.
