Upgraded this blog to WordPress to version 2.9. It went flawless. My only question, why is the bulk plug-in updater buried under the Tools: Upgrade menu?
Hi Steve,
I am relatively new to Word Press although I have done a lot of webbish stuff over the years. I’m enjoying learning about all the plugins and widgets…. but there is something I am particularly after and wonder if your connections plug in might be able to do it.
Basically… I run a film club that has about 40 members. I would like an interface that allows members to subscribe themselves and update all their own contact info… but allows me some extra bits (like a back end) where I can see or document whether their membership is paid up or not.
Just wondering whether its being used for anything like that or if its customizable, and whether its something you could, or would want to, do.
What you describe is one of my long term goals with connections. Well, kind of. Connections will not be a membership plug-in. You might be better served by a membership plug-in. I can’t think of any off the top of my head that I could recommend, but the one’s I have looked, at they were all commercial plug-ins. And some were quite expensive.

Drop me a line and let me know what you think…
Cheers (and complements of the season…)
