You can make these changes to the cmap.css file found here:
../wp-content/plugins/cmap/

After you make those changes, duplicate the cmap.css and name it cmap.min.css. Upload both overwriting the originals.

To change the category drop down to “type your city here”. See the doc pages for str_select and str_select_all.
