Please try this…

  • Navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page.
  • Click the Beta Versions tab.
  • Enable beta support for the Excerpt Plus template.
  • Navigate to the WordPress Updates admin page, this will make WordPress check for updates.
  • Navigate to the Plugins admin page. The beta update for the Excerpt Plus template should be available to you. Click update link. This should update to the latest beta.

Does the issue persist?
