Your user permissions were not correct, I’ve reset them on the Roles admin page, you should now be able to edit categories again.

RE: could you guide me how to remove the individual entries from the page that are shown below the grid and just show the Category Grid?

Disable the “Display the categories above the results list?” option on the Connections : Settings admin page under the General tab.

Remove the [connections] shortcode from the Agents Directory page and replace it with [connections_categories] shortcode.

Create a new page for your directory entries adding the [connections] shortcode to it and setting it as the directory home page.
